This program will provide the student with the basic skills necessary to perform on a tactical team in a high-risk environment. The program instructs students to a national standard in the area of SWAT. Students are also expected to be extremely familiar with the firearms and equipment they will be using. The course will cover the following SWAT related topics: Team Organization and Structure – Understanding the Use of Force and Liability Concerns - High Risk Warrant (HRW) – Criminal Barricade – Tactical Firearms – SWAT Subject Control – TECC – Interior & Exterior Tactics – Threshold//Room Clearing Techniques: Sliced Based and Dynamic Techniques – Certification of Noise Flash Diversionary (NFDD’s). Department Must Provide 2 NFDD’s per Operator. Per Safariland Protocol – Chemical Agent Exposure – Breaching – Familiarization of Ballistic Shields. Practical Training Will Be Dependent Upon An Agency Providing the Equipment. -  MCOLES approved for 302 funding (police officers must bring their MCOLES #)
