Concealed Pistol License (CPL)

The Macomb Community College is offering the State of Michigan Certified Concealed Pistol License Class. This class exceeds the State’s minimum requirements to obtain the State’s license to carry a concealed pistol. All information and training that is required will be offered. This course contains the mandatory 5 hours of classroom instruction as well as the 3 hours of live fire training on our state-of-the-art firearms range. Upon completion you will have a certificate as well as your concealed pistol license application form and all additional information to take to your county so you may apply for your CPL. This class is open to all adults over the age of 21. All students attending should bring hearing protection, eye protection and a brimmed hat. There will be allotted time for a lunch break, students can bring food or there are many places in the area to get lunch. You may bring your own firearm and ammunition. 100 rounds of ammunition will be required to complete the course of fire. ALL personally owned pistols will be inspected for safety by an instructor. If you bring your own pistol, it must be brought in a case. ALL ammunition will be left in your vehicle until it is needed. NO LIVE AMMUNITION will be brought into the classroom. Tuition covers the use of a pistol and 100 rounds of ammunition if you don’t have a one.
