GLOBAL CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

This program is for GM employees and GM approved Suppliers. Place-out certification exams are available if an individual feels proficient with the subject matter. Full courses include the exam and students do not need to register for both.  Any student wishing to retake an exam will need to re-register through our website at an additional charge.

Online Courses and Exams

Online, Self-Paced Courses are available for the following classes:

• Global Common Controls Hardware (GCCH-1)
• Global Common Controls Software (GCCS-2)
• Global Robot Specifications (GRS)
• Networks- EtherNet IP

To enroll in online courses or exams, you need a webcam, microphone, and the latest version of Google Chrome. You will receive an email with instructions on how to access the online course/online exam on the section start date. Individuals can take the class at your convenience, including the certification exam.  There is no need to schedule a specific time for your exam.  You must complete by the end date of your section as your access will be cancelled on that date. We do not have the flexibility to extend online access.

Your ONLINE exam will be proctored by recording the visual, audio and desktop aspects of your exam and exam environment.

For the online Global Common Controls Software (GCCS-2) course and exam, students will need access to specific software.  The college is unable to provide licenses.

• Rockwell Studio 5000 v24.02 or higher
• Rockwell RSLogix 5000 v20.05 or higher
• Siemens TIA Portal HMI Comfort or Advanced v11 or v13 acceptable (optional in exam only sections)

Hard copy or electronic version of student manual is permitted during exam and should be downloaded prior to beginning the exam.  Adobe Reader should be used to access electronic version.  Students are allowed only one screen during their exam.  Exam must be completed once it is started. Students caught cheating will not be allowed to retake the certification exam online.
