Upon successful completion of this program, HLTH-8038D and HLTH-8110, you will receive a Workforce and Continuing Education Home Care Assistant certificate and gain the knowledge and skills necessary to assist clients living at home or in an Assisted Living Facility.
The emphasis of this certificate is based on: home care safety, companionship activities, planning and preparing meals, observation and documentation, transportation, assisting clients with the activities of daily living, and housekeeping chores.
Prior to registration, students must attend a mandatory workshop, WKSP-8000.
Prior to the first day of class, students must complete a criminal background check.
Details of the requirements will be reviewed at the mandatory workshop.
