Bee-ginner Beekeeping is offered in three segments to coincide with the beekeeping year. In this second segment, students will learn how to purchase and install bees, how to properly inspect the beehive, and how to care for its overall health. Students will understand IPM (Integrated Pest Management). This segment will be hands-on at the Macomb Community College apiary, with lecture followed by hive inspection. Equipment will be provided.
