Behavioral Health Emergency Partnership Pre-Course Information Behavioral Health Emergency Partnership (BHEP) is a behavioral health training course designed to equip emergency responders with the tools they need to effectively recognize, respond, and mitigate a behavioral health crisis incident. BHEP Training is 20 hours in length, consisting of three linked training segments, Pre-Course Online Training (4-hours), Classroom Instruction (8-hours), and Scenario Based Training (8-hours). The BHEP program utilizes instructional strategies that are aligned with adult learning theory, the experiential learning cycle and ITIP (Instructional Theory in Practice) to translate knowledge and skill to behavioral enhancement on-the-job.

Use the registration code “BHCTEST” (all caps, no spaces) d. Save your certificate of completion2.Classroom based learning - Day one utilizes student centered instructional strategies such as small group activities, live role play, video scenarios, and groupdiscussions.3.Scenario based training - Day two is designed to meet the psychomotor needs of the participant while offering the opportunity to utilize all knowledge and skills from the previous training sessions. Unlike the classroom role plays, scenario training creates a setting which is 70-80% cognitive reality. This allows for safe practice of these skills in a dynamic and realistic environment.
