Construction trades routinely renovate and demolish buildings that were built prior to 1981. These activities often pose a health risk by exposing employees to asbestos-containing materials. General Industry employees are also subject to asbestos exposure, rules and regulations. Asbestos Awareness Training is for General Industry and construction employees whose work activities may contact but do not disturb asbestos-containing materials (ACM) or presumed asbestos-containing materials (PACM). Lead is found both in industry and in construction, and poses a threat to all who come into contact with it. This combined training course consists of information regarding asbestos and lead in their various forms and uses. Training also includes information on the health effects associated with asbestos and/or lead exposure. Attendees will also receive a two-hour Asbestos Awareness training card.
