Learn how behavior is shaped through environmental interactions and gain an understanding of how behavior can be changed and how skills can be taught. Students will gain the 40-hour education required for the RBT certification including an understanding of concepts such as reinforcement, contingency analysis, functions of behavior, data analysis and ethics. An optional 4-hour job shadowing is available for students with no prior experience. Criminal background check prior to placement is required.  To obtain the RBT certification, students will need to seek BCBA supervision and pass the RBT competency assessment outside of their coursework.
