Learn to do a perfect venipuncture and your skills will be in demand! This course can lead to full time work as a phlebotomist or enhance your resume as a multiskilled health care worker. Upon successful completion of courses HLTH-8001C and HLTH-8021B, students will receive a Workforce and Continuing Education certificate and be prepared to take the nationally recognized American Medical Technologist (AMT) exam immediately or the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) exam for Phlebotomy after one year’s experience. Prior to internship placement, students must pass a criminal background check, drug screen, TB test, and immunization titers, provide Basic Life Support Certification documentation, and purchase a uniform at their own expense.
