Guarding for Mechanical Power - Belts, Pulleys, Chains and Sprockets

This half-day course provides a comprehensive review of the requirements in MIOSHA Part 7 – Guards for Power Transmission. Topics include detailed interpretation of the standards, employer and employee responsibilities, key terms and definitions, common guards and devices used in industry,  power-transmission components, disconnects and lockout procedures, and specific guarding requirements. Interactive discussions and hands-on exercises are incorporated throughout the session to reinforce the concepts presented.
