Notice

Please read:  This film is entitled Poetas Campesions. Join us for an installation of our Mexican Film Festival series! In conjunction with celebrations of Dia de Muertos, and in partnership with Consulado de Mexico en Detroit, the Lorenzo Cultural Center is pleased to screen Mexican films on variuos dates this season. These programs will also include an opportunity for questions and discussion at the end of the film. This season's series is a tribute to the Mexican Filmmaker Nicolas Echevarria, whose work has profoundly explored the cultural, historical, and spiritual origins that shape Mexican identity.

This film follows a local circus troupe-composed of a poet and two acrobats- during the festivities of San Felipe Otlaltepec, a place in Puebla whose inhabitants show great devotion to their local shows. This film will be shown with English subtitles.
